In-situ research
In July 2008 financial support was given by pelusios.com to Tomas
Diagne, chair TSA-Africa, to lead a field survey concerning the in-situ
status of Pelusios
species to the countries of Benin, Togo and Ghana in West Africa. The
field research will take a period of 5 weeks and will be done in
October and November of 2008.
Upon return from the field survey, Mr. Diagne will write an article for
the TSA newsletter, the Turtle and Tortoise Newsletter and the
Chelonian Conservation and Biology. However, www.pelusios.com will also
receive information and photos from Mr. Diagne.
